1,2-Dilinoleoyl-3-oleoyl-rac-glycerol is used as a post-harvest treatment for apples of the Delicious variety. When applied at a concentration of 3% w/v immediately following harvest, it helps reduce scald development during six months of storage, thus improving the quality and shelf life of the apples.
