Description
Ethyl 1-methyl-4-piperidinecarboxylate is an organic compound with the molecular formula C7H13NO2. It is a colorless liquid and serves as a crucial intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical compounds.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Ethyl 1-methyl-4-piperidinecarboxylate is used as a reactant for the synthesis of various compounds, including:
1. Piperidine derivatives: These are utilized as inhibitors of S. aureus and E. coli enoyl-ACP reductase, playing a significant role in the development of antibiotics to combat bacterial infections.
2. GABAA receptor agonists: As a key component in the synthesis of GABAA receptor agonists, it contributes to the development of medications targeting the central nervous system, particularly those used to treat anxiety, insomnia, and seizure disorders.
3. Water-soluble DNA-binding subunits: It is used in the creation of analogues of the cytotoxic antibiotic CC-1065 and their prodrugs, which have potential applications in cancer treatment.
4. Tricyclic pharmaceuticals: Ethyl 1-methyl-4-piperidinecarboxylate is employed in the synthesis of tricyclic pharmaceuticals, which are a class of compounds with diverse applications, including antidepressants and antipsychotics.
5. 5-HT3 antagonists: It is also used in the production of 5-HT3 antagonists, which are medications that block the action of serotonin at 5-HT3 receptors, useful in treating nausea and vomiting, particularly in chemotherapy patients.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 24252-37-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,4,2,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 24252-37:
(7*2)+(6*4)+(5*2)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*7)=87
87 % 10 = 7
So 24252-37-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

CONTROLLED RELEASE PREPARATION
-
Paragraph 0550; 0551, (2016/06/06)
A controlled release preparation wherein the release of active ingredient is controlled, which releases an active ingredient for an extended period of time by staying or slowly migrating in the gastrointestinal tract, is provided by means such as capsulating a tablet, granule or fine granule wherein the release of active ingredient is controlled and a gel-forming polymer. Said tablet, granule or fine granule has a release-controlled coating-layer formed on a core particle containing an active ingredient.
Water-Soluble CC-1065 Analogs and Their Conjugates
-
Page/Page column 52, (2009/12/28)
This invention relates to novel analogs of the DNA-binding alkylating agent CC-1065 and to their conjugates. Furthermore this invention concerns intermediates for the preparation of said agents and their conjugates. The conjugates are designed to release their (multiple) payload after one or more activation steps and/or at a rate and time span controlled by the conjugate in order to selectively deliver and/or controllably release one or more of said DNA alkylating agents. The agents, conjugates, and intermediates can be used to treat an illness that is characterized by undesired (cell) proliferation. As an example, the agents and the conjugates of this invention may be used to treat a tumor.
