General Description

4-Aminopyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C7H7NO4. It is also known as kynurenic acid and is a derivative of the amino acid L-tryptophan. 4-Aminopyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is found in the brain and has been shown to have neuroprotective and neurotoxic properties.
