General Description

3-Trifluoromethyl-pentanedioic acid, also known as TFPD, is a fluorinated organic compound with the chemical formula C7H9F3O4. It is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals and is also used as a building block in organic chemistry. TFPD is a white crystalline solid with a high melting point and is soluble in water. It is a relatively stable compound and is not known to be highly reactive or hazardous. Despite its low reactivity, TFPD is classified as a harmful substance and should be handled with care.
