White Solid
Uses
Nicotinic acid-(ring-d4) can be used as an internal standard for the quantification of nicotinic acid in the biological sample by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). It can be also used as a precursor for the preparation of N′-nitrosonornicotine-2,4,5,6-d4 derivative.
General Description
Nicotinic acid (pyridine-3-carboxylic acid) is also known as niacin or vitamin B3. It is a water-soluble vitamin found in some vegetable and animal sources. Niacin is also a precursor for the synthesis of NAD and NADP.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 66148-15-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,6,1,4 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 66148-15:
(7*6)+(6*6)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*5)=130
130 % 10 = 0
So 66148-15-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
