Description
[3,4-diacetyloxy-5-(6-sulfanylidene-3H-purin-9-yl)oxolan-2-yl]methyl acetate, also known as Acyclovir, is an antiviral medication specifically designed to combat infections caused by the herpes virus. It is a synthetic analog of the nucleoside guanosine and functions by inhibiting viral DNA replication, thereby slowing down the growth and spread of the virus in the body. Acyclovir is available in various forms, such as oral tablets, capsules, and topical creams, and is generally well-tolerated with few side effects.
Uses
Used in Antiviral Applications:
Acyclovir is used as an antiviral agent for treating infections caused by the herpes virus, including genital herpes, cold sores, shingles, and chickenpox. It effectively reduces the severity and duration of herpes outbreaks when taken as directed by a healthcare provider.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
In the pharmaceutical industry, Acyclovir is used as an active ingredient in the development of antiviral medications. Its ability to inhibit viral DNA replication makes it a valuable component in the fight against herpes virus infections.
Used in Healthcare Settings:
Acyclovir is used in healthcare settings to manage and treat patients suffering from herpes virus infections. It is an essential medication for healthcare providers to prescribe to patients in order to alleviate symptoms and prevent the spread of the virus.
Used in Research and Development:
Acyclovir is also utilized in research and development for the study of herpes virus and the development of new antiviral medications. Its mechanism of action provides valuable insights into the replication process of the herpes virus and can potentially lead to the discovery of new treatments for viral infections.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 7687-42-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,6,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7687-42:
(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*2)=135
135 % 10 = 5
So 7687-42-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A process for preparing natural nucleoside powder clitocybin method
-
, (2017/10/26)
The invention discloses a new method for preparing natural nucleoside nebularine. According to the method disclosed by the invention, cheap inosine is used as a raw material and is subjected to three reactions including acyl protection, sulfuration and desulfuration to finally obtain the target product nebularine; in the desulfuration step, since 50% nitric acid is used as a desulfuration agent, such reaction conditions easily causing explosion as diazotization in the conventional synthesis method can be avoided, no heavy metal catalyst is used, no column chromatography is needed in the whole process, large-scale synthesis can be realized easily; and moreover, the new method for preparing natural nucleoside nebularine is suitable for research on medicine activity and further large-scale preparation.
