Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 891848-03-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,9,1,8,4 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 891848-03:
(8*8)+(7*9)+(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*8)+(2*0)+(1*3)=216
216 % 10 = 6
So 891848-03-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Enantioselective synthesis of secondary phosphine oxides from (RP)-(-)-menthyl hydrogenophenylphosphinate

Leyris, Adeline,Bigeault, Julie,Nuel, Didier,Giordano, Laurent,Buono, Gérard

, p. 5247 - 5250 (2007)

Alkyl- and arylphenylphosphine oxides can easily be synthesized with an excellent enantiomeric excess starting from diastereomerically pure (RP)-(-)-menthylhydrogenophenylphosphinate and organometallic reagents.

Evaluation and development of methodologies for the synthesis of thiophosphinic acids

Winters, Karen R.,Montchamp, Jean-Luc

, p. 14545 - 14558 (2020/12/29)

Thiophosphorus acids R1R2P(S)OH constitute an important class of organophosphorus compounds, in which the phosphorus atom is intrinsically chiral if R1 ≠ R2. In connection with a project aimed at the preparation of chiral thiophosphorus acids, various available literature methods were considered, but few fit the requirement of odorless reagents. Herein, the results of our studies on the synthesis of thiophosphinic acids are reported. Ultimately, two major approaches were selected: (1) the Stec reaction of phosphorus amides with carbon disulfide; and (2) the one-pot synthesis of thiophosphorus acids from H-phosphinates, an organometallic nucleophile, and quenching with elemental sulfur. An application to the preparation of a potential chiral phosphorus organocatalyst is also reported.

Ni-Catalyzed Asymmetric Allylation of Secondary Phosphine Oxides

Liu, Xu-Teng,Zhang, Ya-Qian,Han, Xue-Yu,Sun, Shi-Ping,Zhang, Qing-Wei

supporting information, p. 16584 - 16589 (2019/10/21)

A nickel-catalyzed asymmetric allylation of secondary phosphine oxides (SPO) for the synthesis of tertiary phosphine oxides (TPO) was realized with high enantioselectivity. The dynamic kinetic asymmetric transformation of SPO was accomplished in the prese
