Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 945608-48-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 9,4,5,6,0 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 945608-48:
(8*9)+(7*4)+(6*5)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*8)+(2*4)+(1*8)=200
200 % 10 = 0
So 945608-48-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The synthesis of new liquid-crystalline mesogens containing bicyclohexane units

Cassano,Dabrowski,Dziaduszek,Picci,Chidichimo,De Filpo,Muzzalupo,Puoci

, p. 1447 - 1450 (2007)

The synthesis and mesomorphism characterization of new thermotropic derivatives of cis, trans and trans,trans-4,4′-bicyclohexyl-bis[4-(6-hydroxyhexan-1-oxy)benzoate] are described. This last intermediate produces a liquid crystalline diacrylate, with lower refractive indices than the well-known aromatic analogues, that allows to obtain polymeric network via UV photopolymerization. The acrylate is very useful to optimize the contrast of polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs). Moreover, the acylation of the intermediates previously mentioned, with alkanoic or perfluoro alkanoic acids give low-molecular liquid crystals that exhibit a broad temperature range of mesophases.

Synthesis and mesomorphic properties of chiral esters comprising partially fluorinated alkoxyalkoxy terminal chains and a 1-methylheptyl chiral moiety

Zurowska,Dabrowski,Dziaduszek,Czuprynski,Skrzypek,Filipowicz

scheme or table, p. 145/[497]-157/[509] (2010/03/05)

Two structurally similar homologous series of chiral esters with partially fluorinated alkoxyalkoxy terminal chains are described. Their synthetic routes and mesomorphic properties, such as phase transitions temperatures and enthalpies, are characterized by polarizing optical microscope and differential scanning calorimetry.
