It is a nitroaromatic compound consisting of a benzene ring with a methyl group and a nitro group attached, as well as three trifluoromethyl groups. 4-Methyl-3-nitrobenzotrifluoride is commonly used as a raw material in the production of various pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and dyes. It is also utilized as an intermediate in organic synthesis, particularly in the formation of complex molecules with fluorinated substituents. 4-Methyl-3-nitrobenzotrifluoride is known for its high reactivity and is classified as a hazardous substance, requiring proper handling and storage to prevent environmental contamination and harm to living organisms.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 65754-26-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,5,7,5 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 65754-26:
(7*6)+(6*5)+(5*7)+(4*5)+(3*4)+(2*2)+(1*6)=149
149 % 10 = 9
So 65754-26-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Trifluoromethylation of 1-aryl-3,3-diisopropyltriazenes
Hafner, Andreas,Braese, Stefan
supporting information, p. 996 - 1000 (2013/05/08)
A new method for the trifluoromethylation of functionalized aromatic diisopropyltriazenes is described. In a facile two-step, one-pot synthesis, various functionalized trifluoromethyl-substituted arenes are accessible in mostly good yields by using methyl iodide as iodination agent and the trifluoromethylation system (trifluoromethyl)trimethylsilane/potassium fluoride/copper iodide. This concept could be expanded to perfluoroethylation as well as ethoxycarbonyldifluoromethylation reactions. Copyright
